First things first

OK, so I've looked at the survey results and considered my personal priorities (finding a sustainable work-life-side-project balance), and am making a few changes to the newsletter. Here they are:

  • I will publish on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but will only include links to news items (and brief summaries/analyses of them). I'm adding a new section up top for particularly important/interesting links.
  • The kinds of things I usually write in this space will publish directly to the ARCHITECHT site as the spirit moves me to write them (I'd also like to start publishing some more long-form Q&As and podcast transcripts). I'll also likely publish some of that stuff -- particularly as it relates to cloud-native computing -- on Pivotal properties. I'll make sure to include any pieces in the next newsletter that's published.
  • I'm no longer going to republish newsletters on the ARCHITECHT site, but most previous ones will still be archived there and they'll be available at news.architecht.io (although some might be lost if I switch newsletter platforms).
  • I'm not actively recruiting sponsors or pursuing a subscription model, but sponsors are always welcome to help keep the lights on for the newsletter, podcast and website. If you want to chat about that, send me an email.

I'm guessing no one reading this is going to be crushed by this news, but just wanted to give everyone a heads up as to what's happening and why.

Now, enjoy this extra-beefy (because of Labor Day) issue.
